Ed
Beard Jr. has been creating dragons, monsters and whatever else
the imagination can conjure for the past twenty years. Ed had an
incredible career working as a government official portrait painter
to such important people like Carl Albert, speaker of the US house
of Representatives under President Carter, Hubert Humphrey, Vice
President of the United States and many more. Ed Beard Jr. has been
given such tremendous respect from people like Pope Paul VI, who
in 1978 commissioned him to represent the United States as a delegate
to the arts. This didn't end there, he later proceeded to do many
more religious works including a 70' tall cathedral walls and ceilings
with various religious depictions. Ed's most recent work for which
he is best known for includes Magic the Gathering, Tolkien, and
a list of magazine and comic book covers which at this point is
ever growing.

the prestigious Hugo award seven times.
He is considered many things to many people
because his art expands from space art,
to science fiction, fantasy and horror.
He has frequently been the guest of honor
at science fiction conventions all over
North America and the World. Some of the
book covers he has illustrated were for

When Bob paints he's been known to become
trance-like. He seems to be able to paint
anything imaginable and his technique
is easily identifiable as his own.
