Unicorn Artists
Unicorns to some are
good luck; being white they take on a type of angelic appearance.
Unicorns are subjects quite frequently used for paintings, sculptures
and such.

Paul
Butvila was born in England on November 24th 1953 in Vancouver,
BC. At 20 years old he was inspired by fantasy artist Boris Vallejo
and decided he wanted to be an illustrator. He paints in the style
of "photo realism". For six years he perfected his technical
skills drawing highly detailed reflective boats, planes, and a motorcycles.
Although photo-realism was challenging he longed to go back to painting
fantasy and human form. At 35 he changed his direction back to fantasy
with a greater passion and more intensity. His inspiration comes
from the images that new music conveys. The "Romantics"
such as Lord Frederick Leighton, and Jacque Louis David inspired
his work.
Amy
Brown was inspired by movies and books. She rarely does preliminary
sketches. A painting takes her from 15 minutes to several days.
She began in 1992 as a custom picture framer for seven years. She
always had an interest in fairies. She got started when her boss
asked her to paint a picture for one of the frames she did and it
sold. She began to sell her work at street fairs and shops of friends.
Her works are fresh and original.
