The Best Witches &
Warlocks Book
Shadows
By Jonathan Nasaw
 Shadows
is a story of a witch called Selene Weiss. She is an evil witch,
a high priestess of Wicca. There are many stories of witches in
horror fiction. Warlocks, Sorcerers and dark priests are featured
in many books. But a Wicca is rarely written about. Writing about
Wiccans requires either of the following; an enormous amount of
knowledge on the subject of modern paganism or being a member of
a modern day pagan community.
After
reading the first chapter of Shadows, you realize the Jonathan Nasaw
has very deep knowledge of the Wicca. It makes you read on as it
terrifies you. Nasaw does not characterize the Wiccans in this novel
as satanic, child-sacrificing witches. He does however leave you
with a feeling grave danger. As you read on, looking side to side
at the slightest sounds and movements do not become uncommon. Arguably
Jonathan Nasaw reaches his goal of scaring all who read it.
Shadows
is excellent novel about witches, warlocks and sheer terror. Every
scene of horror scares readers into the next chapter. The plot is
very deep and exciting. The story does not let up for a moment.
You will have no chance to catch your breath as you race to read
the final pages. The lengthy climax leaves you begging for more.
Maybe a sequel is in order.
