The Best Knight &
Warrior Movie
Conan The Barbarian
In
1981, Conan the Barbarian was released. It is more of a warrior
movie than it is a knight movie. It is one of the best fantasy movies
ever created. In this movie, Conan played by the huge Arnold Schwarzenegger,
is witness to his people being savagely murdered by Thulsa Doom,
and his parents are brutally killed. Rexor, Thulsa Doom's right
hand man takes his fathers sword, and Conan, as a child, is turned
into a slave.
Fifteen
years go by as Conan is seen chained to push The Wheel Of Pain.
He becomes a gladiator for Hyrkanians. Finally Conan's master frees
him, and Conan sets forth on his quest to avenge his people's death.
Here we see his rise as a barbarian, and his long quest of revenge.
By his side is Valeria, his love, Subotai a great warrior, and Akiro,
a wizard. Together they must free King Orsic's daughter who is under
Doom's spell.
Doom
has thousands of followers, and is on a quest to conquer the world.
When Conan sneaks in disguised as a priest, he gets captured and
crucified. Almost dead, Valeria promised the gods her life for his,
and along with Akiro's magic Conan regains his life. The movie becomes
more violent when Conan mourns Valeria. Conan slashes people up
during an orgy, Subotai chops people up, and Thulsa Doom's menace
comes to end.
