The Best Skeleton Movie
The
Mummy is an action/adventure movie about
an expedition of explorers seeking treasure
in the Sahara in 1925. Brendan Fraser
is O'Connell, an officer in the French
Foreign Legion. Rachel Weisz is Evelyn,
a spirited antiquarian who subsequently
hires O'Connell to find this same treasure
city, but with archaeological motives
in mind. Also in the cast is John Hannah
as Evelyn's brother, Jonathan, and Kevin
J O'Connor as Beni, a Hungarian who is
described as a complete sleaze ball and
a lying, cheating, back-stabber".
When this bunch finally
reaches Hamunaptra, they find a lot more than archaeological remains.
Stumbling upon ancient remains, they unknowingly unleash a 3,000-year-old
legacy of terror. This comes in the form of an Egyptian priest who
had been sentenced to an eternity as the living dead.
 The
Mummy is set in the land of the Pharaohs. It has loads and loads
of bony skeletons running around. The skeletons in this movie look
so lifelike that you would swear they were alive. The movie's battle
scenes pit human against skeleton. In one scene even the desert
sand gets involved in try to destroy the humans.
Fans of the original
1932's The Mummy will enjoy this as much as the new generation.
So much in fact that a sequel has already been released.
