Legend (1985)

Legend is one of the few movies that can still today make us believe in unicorns. The Lord of Darkness sends his one of his demons Blix, into the forest to kill the last Unicorns. This creature has within it a positive force. At the same time, Jack as a token of his love shows Lily the hidden glade where unicorns live. Blix follows Lily and shoots one of the last two unicorns with a poison dart. The demons take the horn of the unicorn and the world becomes a frozen, dark place infested with evil. Jack with the help of some elves, sets out to make things right again. They have a series of adventures that including giants, cannibals, monsters and caves of fire. After a long sword fight with the evil Lord, Jack destroys the dark menace by exposing him to the sun. Jack lifts the spell from Lily with a kiss and restores the unicorn's horn.

Some of the adventures in this movie include; Jack being trapped under some ice and almost drowning, the decapitation of a cannibal monster and after the unicorn is shot with a poisonous dart the goblin cuts off its horn with a sword.

The mere sight of the unicorns in this movie are absolutely breathtaking. You can almost feel their life and we instinctively want to touch them.
