The Best Witches & Warlocks Movie

The Guardian offcial movie posterWilliam Friedkin, the same mind who brought audiences The Exorcist made an equally chilling movie called The Guardian, a frightening, story of the supernatural released in 1990. Although not as big a blockbuster it still did pretty well in the theatres. This movie is not as popular as The Witches of Eastwick, Witchboard or even the television show Charmed, but it delivers the fear those other movies or shows could not. This is truly a terrifying witch movie.

A young couple hire a seemingly innocent woman (Jenny Seagrove) to care for their infant son. She turns out to be an evil nanny who steals babies. She offers these babies as sacrifices to a large ugly tree in the forest that feeds off children's blood for strength. The supernatural nanny uses wolves to scare away anyone who might prevent her from carrying out her evil mission.

There is a scene where wolves are feeding off the mutilated body of a man. The wolves attack an architect who could have possibly foiled their plans. Another scene is where the wolves attack the car in which the baby's mother is trying to escape; a wolf has his head run over in the getaway.
