Comic Book Heroes
Safety is never
more than a glance away
It’s a bird;
it’s a plane, it’s superhero posters. Since the beginning
of time man has struggled to thwart the powers of evil. The battle
is never an easy one and from time to time we have been forced
to seek the abilities of those more extraordinary than ourselves.
Known for intense battles against their arch enemies; superheroes
and posters depicting them have long been a part of our culture.
Posters showing: Superman blasting off into space, and Batman
posters (one of the more Goth superheroes we know and love) that
show our champion tracking down and preventing the sinister plans
of the likes of Joker, and the Riddler from reaching fruition
are encased in the annals of our imagination.
Childhood champions
still with us today
From a young age we
sought the solace found in the stories of these superheros. We
dreamt endlessly about the speed with which they would travel
to our aide if they were needed. Spiderman posters depicting the
web slinger flying at breakneck speed through downtown on the
end of a large web, or fantastic four posters portraying the four
locked in near deadly combat with their arch nemesis Victor Van
Damme (otherwise known as Dr. Doom). Now these icons can grace
the walls of any home. One look can give us the strength, courage
and conviction needed to take on the pressures of our everyday
lives. With items such as:
- Wolverine posters
-
Captain america posters
-
Hulk posters
-
X-men posters
-
Avengers posters
-
Daredevil posters
we are able to not
only remember the landmark encounters they go through to protect
all of mankind, but we are also given a glimpse into the personal
struggles that they themselves deal with everyday. Loss of senses,
the beast within, a proud nation in need of a moral boost in a
time of great sorrow; all are motivation behind the creation of
these legendary characters. Hold the torch high and take on the
mantle of bravery. Be a beacon of goodness to others in your everyday
life. Before you leave everyday, look at your poster knowing “you
too can help to save the world.”
