History of Cool Designs

The legends and stories associated with cool designs such as mazes, puzzles and labyrinths date back more than 3,500 years, and their origin and purpose have been shrouded in mystery. There are many excellent resources based on learning about mazes and labyrinths.

Originally people or cavemen started drawing on the walls of caves. This is evident in the museums across the world. As man evolved, they started coming up with new and mind-bending drawings and illustrations. The mind was the object of these projects. The race was on to baffle and fool the human mind.

This was apparent with the 3-D designs that came out in the eighties. Pictures and illustrations came out featuring a picture of something repeated over and over though out the pictures. If one stared long enough at the center of the picture, they would slowly see a word, phrase or some image as the mind focused on one spot.

Today cool designs can be seen in a numerous amount of books, magazines and of course comic books, with comic books leading the pack. These books have seen a major transformation since the early days of Superman and other golden age heroes. Today's comic books are blooming with bright colors and curved lines.
